  • It's an amazing piece of work; you all should be very proud.
  • I would heartily recommend the "Learning & Mastering" CD from Platte Canyon. It's got all the tips, tricks, and code you'll need to get you off to a good start.
  • I would like to add that I think the Learning & Mastering CD is one of the best tools for learning all the aspects of ToolBook I've ever seen. I've been through the ToolBook course with an approved instructor and the CD. I feel that this CD is worth a lot more than the asking price. It would behoove and organization to purchase this CD and I hardly ever use the word behoove.
  • We've used the Learning and Mastering ToolBook Instructor CBT by Platte Canyon and found it well worth the modest investment.
  • I've spent quite a bit of time with it, and I tried to pretend I was a new programmer. I felt, personal opinion, that it did an outstanding job of going over all the basics, while providing an introduction to advanced topics. I came away with the impression that the ideal target audience is someone who has just got a new job and that person needs to work with ToolBook and they've got some media or multimedia experience (maybe with Director) and they are re-tooling. That was my prototypical audience member when I looked at the program. And I thought it did an outstanding job of introducing all topics, with the ability to get additional information or to skip sections I wasn't interested in or found too boring.
  • It is really both a good beginners guide to ToolBook, as well a very good source of inspiration & information for more experienced ToolBook users. I spent quite a bit of time with it, and I suspect that I'll keep returning to it for inspiration.
